It seems fitting that the last wedding we are posting this year is my own daughter’s. Mark & I have met & photographed some great couples this season. It has been amazing to see each one of them begin their adventure together. This year has been even more meaningful to us both as we watched our own children get married. (See Taze & Blanche’s Love Story HERE). It was priceless to be able to capture in our hearts and through our lenses a part of our own family’s history!
My oldest daughter Michelle met Taylor several years ago in Calgary. Like Michelle, we loved Taylor from the minute we met him and it became obvious from the beginning that his family was very important to him. M + T planned a weekend for an intimate wedding ceremony in Ucluelet on the west coast of Vancouver Island which included just our immediate family. The time the 12 of us we were able to spend together begun the process of joining our two families into one, and we laughed, explored, remembered, and cried together. We later held a reception to share & celebrate M + T’s marriage with the extended family & friends. Check back for the photos in our next post!
When we first arrived at the ocean front resort in Ucluelet , we were welcomed with gift baskets M + T had put together for each of us. The location and the resort are both gorgeous! T + M’s planned for us to take full advantage of the location and on the morning of the wedding the guys were off kayaking while the girls were treated to a pedicure at the Drift Spa before we headed to the beach for the wedding ceremony & photos.
